Prior to recording, I wrote up the following script for my teaser. Even though it’s only about 300 words, it took me awhile to figure out just what I wanted to say and how I wanted to say it. Writing this in advance made recording very simple, but more confident speakers might want to try recording first, then creating a transcript from their spoken words

As with most of my writing, I drafted this script first in my notebook. If you look closely, you can see that even though I had a pretty good sense of what I wanted to do, I still struggled to find the right language and I had misgivings, questions, and clarifications that occurred to me along the way. Even experienced professional writers struggle with their writing, get things wrong, and work thoughtfully to figure out ways to make their writing clearer.
